⚠️
IMPORTANT: Paid and marketplace content is encrypted by Mojang and intended only for use in single-player or Realms. Using these on dedicated servers is not officially supported. Community-made, non-encrypted packs from sources like Curseforge do work.
Always enable marketplace addons in a singleplayer world first. This ensures the packs are properly installed and can help troubleshoot issues before uploading to your server.
Every player who joins your server may be required to own the same marketplace addon to avoid errors and missing content.
How To Upload Marketplace Addons?
- Create a world in singleplayer and activate the marketplace addons in that world.
- Open your singleplayer’s world folder and create the folders named resource_packs and behavior_packs.
- Copy the resource packs into the resource_packs folder and behavior packs into the behavior_packs folder. The resource- and behavior packs can be found in these locations:
AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_...\LocalState\premium_cache\resource_packs
AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_...\LocalState\premium_cache\behavior_packs- Once all the resource- and behavior packs are moved successfully, upload the world to the server!
Troubleshooting & Warnings
- If your server crashes or experiences issues when using both resource- and behavior packs, try uploading only one type at a time. Some paid packs are incompatible and will cause errors even when installed correctly.
- Expect most marketplace packs to either fail to load or cause compatibility problems. There is no guaranteed way to use encrypted marketplace addons on Bedrock servers.
- For better experience, use community-made Bedrock addons instead. There’s hundreds to browse in Curseforge or MCPedl.
