This article will help you on changing your server view distance.

 

Lowering your server view distance is usually done to improve the server performance.

 

To change your server view distance you need to do the following steps:

 

Log in to your WiseHosting Game Panel here and Stop your server.

 

Click on Properties from the Game Panel tabs.

 

Find the option VIEW-DISTANCE and change it to equal the desired number (default: 10). 

Please keep in mind that the value increase does affect your servers performance heavily! The default 10 (chunks) is recommended for the smaller server packages. It is not suggested to increase the value over 20 (chunks).

 

Start your server from the Dashboard!

Congratulations, you just changed your servers View Distance.

 

If you are using Spigot, you will also need to change the View Distance on there:


Log in to your WiseHosting Game Panel here and Stop your server.

Click on Files, and find spigot.yml from the list of files and folders.

Click on spigot.yml and our online file editor will open up.

Find the line view-distance and change it to equal the desired number (maximum: 15), then click on Save.

Start your server from the Dashboard!

Congratulations, the View Distance is now changed to your desired number.
